　　Postdoctoral position in biosynthetic chemistry

　　We are seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral fellow to join the Biosynthetic Enzymes Laboratory at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada (Website: http://groups.chem.ubc.ca/ryan/Home.html).We are a young group of researchers working at the interface of chemistry and biology. Our goal is to elucidate the pathways that lead to natural product molecules.

　　Top candidates will have demonstrated expertise in microbial genetics (bacterial and/or fungal systems) and the ability to rapidly carry out protocols in molecular biology. A strong interest (or, ideally, prior exposure) to basic chemical techniques (purification, HPLC, MS, NMR, etc.) is highly desired. Projects will be centered on developing heterologous production systems for microbial natural products.
