　　Postdoctoral positions are available for energetic individuals interested in studying molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying excitability in the brain and heart, with an emphasis on processes related to addiction, cognition, mood, and the neural regulation of cardiac function. Our well-funded research program incorporates an array of state-of-the-art techniques and approaches, including brain slice and cultured cell electrophysiology, intracranial pharmacology and chemogenetics, rodent behavioral analysis, and electrocardiogram telemetry.

　　A Ph.D. in biomedical sciences or biophysics is required. While prior experience with electrophysiological techniques is preferred, our lab is an excellent training environment for those interested in developing skills in this domain.
