　　DEPARTMENT OF CHEMISTRY AND BIOCHEMISTRY

　　The department invites applications for full-time, academic year lecturer positions beginning September 14, 2015. Appointment level and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. One year appointment (second year possible). A Ph.D. in chemistry or biochemistry, or related discipline, or a Ph.D. in chemical education (with an M.S. in chemistry) is required at the time of hire. Successful candidates must be committed to quality undergraduate education with demonstrated excellence in teaching undergraduate laboratory or lecture courses. Lecturers are expected to be involved with scholarly activities that contribute to their currency, the classroom, and their profession. Teaching effectiveness, understanding of the teaching and learning process, and currency in the subject matter of teaching assignments are all important aspects of the lecturer position. We have needs for expertise across the curriculum, including general, organic, physical, analytical, and biochemistry, and qualified candidates from all disciplines are invited to apply.
