　　Associate Dean for Research and Advanced Studies

　　The Associate Dean for Research and Advanced Studies is a senior-level faculty member. This position provides vision and leadership for the School's research mission and will help build and expand an extramural funding base to further the already strong reputation that the school enjoys for discovery. This position works closely with the Dean, departmental chairpersons, the graduate school, funding and regulatory agencies and the central administration of the University, including the office of sponsored programs, to promote the intramural and extramural research enterprise and facilitate the School's research success.

　　Required Qualifications: V.M.D, D.V.M, M.D, and/or Ph.D. Postdoctoral research training and a record of federally funded biomedical research with substantial research accomplishments in clinical, applied, or basic sciences. These should be to a level consistent with that of a Full Professor. National recognition as a scholar.

　　Preferred Qualifications: Management experience in biomedical research enterprises in an academic environment. Experience in planning, implementing, and sustaining comprehensive research centers or programs.
