　　Faculty Position in Experimental Particle Physics

　　The Department of Physics at Purdue University seeks applications for a tenure track faculty position in the area of experimental particle physics. The position is expected to be filled at the rank of Assistant Professor. We are interested in outstanding scientists that will complement the current efforts within the department.

　　Purdue has major responsibilities in the CMS experiment and is involved in the Mu2e, XENON100/XENON1T, STAR, LSST and VERITAS projects. Synergies exist with groups in astrophysics, theory, nuclear physics and solid state physics. The department offers a state-of-the-art in-house facility with resources applicable to silicon detector design, development and fabrication.

　　Applicants must have a Ph.D. in physics or related field with a documented record of research accomplishments. Candidates are expected to supervise graduate students, teach both undergraduate and graduate courses, and serve on departmental, college and university committees.
