　　Two assistant professor (9 month) positions are available in any domain where the life or environmental sciences intersect with the quantitative or physical sciences. Complex systems in the life and environmental sciences span numerous levels of scale from metabolites, macromolecules, cells, tissues, and organisms, to populations, communities and ecosystems. Increasingly, understanding these systems requires interdisciplinary collaborative research at the intersection with quantitative or physical sciences. Each appointment will reside jointly in a life or environmental sciences unit, and in a physical or quantitative sciences unit, depending on the appointee’s expertise and interest.
