　　Associate Professor/Professor in Metagenomics

　　The Department of Animal Science at Iowa State University seeks outstanding candidates for a tenured faculty position at the rank of Associate Professor/Professor in Metagenomics. This position is 70% research and 30% teaching. Individuals with a primary disciplinary focus in microbiology and a secondary focus in nutrition, physiology, food safety, or animal genetics and genomics are encouraged to apply.

　　Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Microbiology, Animal Science or related discipline, meet the university standards for appointments with tenure including a demonstrated success in an established, productive research program and a record of scholarly publications in peer reviewed journals. For appointments at the rank of Professor, applicants must demonstrate, in addition to the above, success in acquiring external resources for their research programs to sustain its excellence. Preferred education and experience include publication record in high-impact journals, collaboration in interdisciplinary research, and demonstrated excellence in teaching and experience in undergraduate teaching.
